Wanaka is said to be the takeoff point for many outdoor adventures in the nearby mountains, forests and lakes. Eco Wanaka Adventures are specialists in guided walks, heli-hikes and lake cruising in and around Lake Wanaka and the surrounding Mount Aspiring National Park.

There are many track walks to choose from depending on your interests and walking fitness. Out on the tracks you can find striking landmarks such Rob Roy Glacier, or Diamond Lake.
Eco Wanaka also conduct heli-hikes over the alpine lakes or the “Misty Mountains” that were featured in the Lord of the Rings films.
If you don’t fancy walking or flying, you can venture out by boat for a nature tour on Lake Wanaka and the Mou Waho Island Nature Reserve.
