We had an INCREDIBLE trip!!! It was all amazing, from start to finish. We loved NZ. Our itinerary worked out very well. The hours of driving each day were not too much and gave us time to stop and see and do things along the way. We never felt too pushed for time and were able to relax and enjoy our vacation. The details and recommendations you provided in our travel documents were also very helpful along the way. We were very lucky and also had good weather for the trip, particularly in the South Island. It was clear for the 3 days we were at Mt Cook, so we got to see all the peaks and hike the Hooker Valley Tract.
Everything went really smoothly and we liked all the hotels we stayed at. There was only one hiccup. The QT Queensland was very nice and had great service, but, we had to get our room changed because we had to wait over 20 minutes just to get hot water to run in the sink, shower, and bathtub in Rm 1013. They were very accommodating and switched us to Rm 1006, where the hot water was not an issue thankfully. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend that hotel and that floor level. The views are wonderful, the room décor and style is beautiful, the bathroom is super spacious and modern with lots of marble, and the buffet breakfast is very good with tons of selections. It was one of our favorite hotels. We also loved the Hotel Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco Apartments (super cute cottage units and great restaurant right at the at hotel). The Heritage Christchurch one bedroom suite as also very nice, really large, and we loved the old government building it was in and the location right at Cathedral Square.
I am so glad we used you because it provided us the opportunity to go so many places without the hassle of making all the arrangements ourselves and worrying about all the details. It was very stress free and that helped us enjoy the trip even more. We did text Rebecca Gill when we arrived in Auckland and she responded right away, but everything went so smoothly that we never had to contact her at all during the trip.
