The Coromandel Peninsula is a varied place, with bush filled kauri forests inland, and sandy beaches and rugged cliffs lining the coast. Coromandel Adventures offer tours around the peninsula, whether it be enjoying the beaches, exploring the towns or a little of everything.
Depending, of course, on your interests and the pace at which you would like to explore, Coromandel Adventures have a wide range of experiences and can tailor your trip to suit your needs.
One such trip is the Beach Express, which explores the stunning eastern coastline and gives you the opportunity to take the Cathedral Cove Walk, or link up with one of the many scenic boat trips. The trip is also timed to take full advantage of the low tide at the thermal Hot Water Beach where our guides will help you find the best spots available to enjoy the unique thermal mineral water and beach spas.
Another trip is The Coromandel Beach Explorer, taking guests to Whangapoua Beach, the closest of the white-sand beaches to Coromandel - great for walking or swimming. From there you have the option of a 20-30 minute rock/coastal walk to the world famous New Chums Beach.
To experience the dramatic and undeveloped Northern tip of the peninsula, the Northern Escape provides the opportunity to explore this in a relaxed way with the added safety and advantages of a local driver and guide. The guide will let you in on the remarkable hisory of this region, and find a few 'off the beaten track' spots for stops, walking, photos and breaks. Taking a picnic to enjoy along the way is a must.
Alternatively, you may wish to soak in some of the local culture and take a look round some of the local towns such as Coromandel, where you can be picked up and dropped off in your own time.
There are, of course, added activities to enjoy such as snorkelling, walking, fishing and horse riding.
