Fiordland offers some of New Zealand's most beautiful and dramatic scenery. We're not surprised when so many of our clients come back saying their flight over Fiordland was one of their most memorable moments of their trip. A flight by fixed wing plane or helicopter offers the most spectacular views and is a highly recommended by all of our experts.

  • Air Milford

Air Milford  offer  a range of different “flightseeing” options, specialising in Milford Sound scenic flights  in particular. They are  based in Queenstown  and also  provide tours to Doubtful Sound, Mount Cook  and the surrounding area.

The Southern Alps are particularly impressive by air and includes New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki/ Mount Cook, which towers at 3,754 metres high. With over sixteen peaks above 3,000 metres, the mountain range presents formidable challenges to mountain climbers and skiers, and for the flightseeing visitor, incredible vistas of snow-white, rugged peaks.

  • Fiordland Helicopters

Fiordland Helicopters offer scenic helicopter flights which cover the most spectacular areas of the Fiordland World Heritage National Park. This includes the world famous location of Milford Sound and the lesser visited Doubtful and Dusky Sounds. Their National Park concessions allow multiple landings, and give freedom of choice on flight paths and landing locations. They are not limited to designated landing sites on popular scenic flight routes. This freedom, combined with the experienced pilots’ knowledge is invaluable in their quest to share the best of Fiordland with you.
