High standards, high expectations...

Eric and Beth Phipps own F. C. Phipps (www.britainsbestbutcher.co.uk), the famous Lincolnshire butcher, and they know a thing or two about quality.

Their many achievements include being crowned "Best British Butcher" by Country Life magazine and they have appeared on BBC television as one of chef Rick Stein's Food Heroes.

With Eric and Beth having such high standards, we were proud that they chose us to arrange their holiday and even prouder about what they told us when they arrived home!

We had always wanted to visit New Zealand and walk the Milford Track. We asked New Zealand In Depth to make the walk central to the holiday and we had a wet but great time on the track - it was a great achievement.

We are extremely grateful to New Zealand In Depth for recommending the TranzAlpine train, Doubtful Sound, Stewart and Ulva Islands and the Catlins, all wonderful experiences that we were unlikely to have chosen for ourselves.

The hosts at our B&Bs were all lovely and the food was excellent - special mentions for blue cod and Sav Blanc.

We touched a glacier, filmed dolphins, said hello to an elephant seal, went sheep shearing, rounded up cattle and deer, saw blue penguins coming home to their burrows, watched whales, flew over a volcano, saw spectacular sunsets and rises over the Tasman sea and the Pacific Ocean.

We will be back !
