The Redwood Room
The nine acre property was a berry farm for fifty years and many locals remember picking raspberries in summer as a school holiday job. Now guests enjoy an evening stroll through the formal Italian inspired gardens, relaxing under umbrellas by the solar heated pool and the long vistas of beautiful black and white sheep grazing under shady trees.
The guest wing provides spacious bedrooms for up to seven guests Rooms consist of a large bed and sitting room with SKY television opening on to a veranda, a dressing room with tea and coffee-making facilities and fridge, plus a full size ensuite bathroom. A cooked country breakfast is served alfresco in summer and in the dining room by the fire in winter.
Solar heated swimming pool
It's hard to believe that such a peaceful, rural retreat is but a few minutes stroll to the historic village of Greytown, New Zealand's first planned provincial town which is well known for its fine restaurants and shopping. Also, Martinborough's numerous boutique vineyards and four golf courses are just a short drive away.
