Miharotia
In Maori, Miharotia means "to wonder or admire." This beautiful purpose built boutique bed & breakfast was architecturally designed to provide guests with luxury accommodation in New Zealand's ecotourism capital, Kaikoura.

Bed and Breakfast set in 1/2 acre of gardens
Situated on the Kaikoura Peninsula, amidst half an acre of extensive garden, Miharotia was designed to capture the breathtaking views of the Kaikoura seaward ranges and coastline. Your hosts, Polly & Trevor Ruawai, wanted to share the remarkable view and reconstructed their existing home to build an exclusive bed & breakfast.
The property has four individually designed and decorated guest rooms with private ensuite and French doors opening onto private patios. Each guest room is appointed with private telephone line, Sky/Cable television, individually controlled heating, tea and coffee making facilities, luxury bathrobes and aromatic fragrances. The beautifully preserved rimu floors add to Miharotia's character and one of the many features is the spiral rimu and iron staircase leading to the second level where a delicious continental breakfast is served or the beds of lavender, petunias and white roses lining the driveway, providing a touch of English charm to the garden.

Main suite
Polly and Trevor enjoy sharing their "slice of paradise" they call home and want their guest to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. A small collection of New Zealand History & Heritage books and a family cat add to the atmosphere.
