McHardy House
McHardy House is a blend of old and new. It was built in the late 1890's and has been lovingly restored to its original grandeur. The five rooms all have luxurious ensuites with king beds in three rooms and queen beds in the remaining two. The finest of linens and furnishings have gone into these rooms, with beautiful bathroom amenities by Evolu. They also have tea and coffee making facilities, tailored bathrobes and slippers.
The pool at McHardy House
McHardy House sits on Napier Hill with sweeping views of Hawke's Bay and is just a short walk from the centre of Napier, the Art Deco capital of New Zealand.
A la carte breakfast is served at the homestead, alfresco in warm weather on the decks overlooking the garden to the estuary, or in the Edwardian dining room with its polished wood, leadlights and open fire.

Versailles Room
McHardy House also offers a wonderful library to relax in, billiards in the Billiard Room and an outdoor heated swimming pool.
If guests have pre-booked dinner, they will enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés, followed by a 4 course dinner in the romantic candlelit dining room. David, your host and chef, uses fruit, vegetables and herbs from the organic gardens and other local produce from the Hawkes Bay area. Of course there is also an extensive cellar of superb Hawkes Bay wines.
