Huka Lodge is a world-renowned luxury retreat situated within seven hectares of park like grounds on the banks of the Waikato River 300 metres upstream from the famous Huka Falls.

It has just twenty Lodge Rooms which are tucked along the riverbank for privacy and nestled amongst the trees and the recently refurbished Owner's Cottage luxuriously accommodates an additional eight guests.
The main Lodge building has an understated elegance and provides a welcoming haven where guests can relax during the day in the study or the Trophy Room and gather in the evening warmed by blazing fires for pre-dinner drinks.
Huka Lodge cuisine is outstanding and showcases the best of New Zealand's food and wine and the tariff is inclusive of country breakfast, pre-dinner drinks and a superb five course dinner. Meals are table d'hôte and feature fresh premium New Zealand produce, accompanied by equally sophisticated wines. Dining options at Huka Lodge are varied and truly special. The terrace or the library, the Trophy Room, the Wine Cellar, the riverbank or garden and an elegant setting will be arranged for large groups or for more intimate dining.
Swimming Pool and Gardens
Recreational opportunities are numerous within the magnificent scenery of the surrounding area. Wairakei International Golf Course is just a five-minute drive from Huka Lodge and a great favourite with the guests. Lake Taupo provides a perfect venue for aquatic activities such as swimming, sailing, waterskiing, jet skiing and fishing for rainbow trout. The lush forests and national parks are ideal for mountain bike riding, walking and horse trekking. Within the grounds, guests are welcome to play tennis, croquet and petanque followed by a soak in the spa pools and massages or facial treatments can be arranged in the privacy of the guest rooms.
