Blanket Bay
Built in the grand style of the finest alpine lodges, Blanket Bay has received international accolades since opening in 1999. Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report named the lodge as Hideaway of the year 2000 and 2005. Their Reader Survey placed the lodge as being in the top three for every year since 2002. Blanket Bay featured in the 2004 Discovery Channel's 7 Wonder Resorts of the World and in 2006 the Rob Report listed Blanket Bay in the top 100 hotels of the world.

Luxurious accommodation
Blanket Bay is situated at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu just forty minutes drive from the acclaimed adventure capital of the world, Queenstown.
The lodge houses three magnificent suites and five intimate lodge rooms all with stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and the Humbolt Mountains. Two beautifully constructed settler style chalets, also with sensational lake views, boast an additional four suites. Facilities include an intimate den where pre dinner drinks are served, the game room, an elaborate spa comprising a gym, jacuzzi, steam rooms, a beauty therapy suite and a heated outdoor lap pool.
Dinner chosen from an a la carte menu is served at individual tables in the main dining room, the privacy of the wine cave or on the terrace beside the outdoor fireplace. Pacific Rim cuisine is a strong feature of the menu complimented by an impressive choice of New Zealand and international wines.

In the summer guests can take advantage of a variety of activities including guided fly-fishing, helicopter flight seeing to Milford Sound, jet boating the Dart River or hiking in the scenic Mt. Aspiring National Park and the stables offer horse riding on the adjoining Wyuna High Country Station. During the winter the lodge is the perfect base for heliskiing with your own qualified guide.
