Choose from four exquisitely decorated bedrooms in English Country style, each with their own character, featuring quality beds, fine linen, antiques and collectibles. Three queen rooms have en-suites, and a king/twin room has a private bathroom with a claw foot bath.
Relax on the verandas or wander around the gracious traditional garden containing protected trees, rare camellias, roses and a small private vineyard.
Scrumptious country cooked and continental breakfasts are served in the dining room, alfresco on the verandas or in the garden.

There is an elegant guest lounge overlooking the garden where complimentary teas, coffee and port are provided. In winter enjoy the comfort of an open fire and a wonderful selection of books and magazines.
Secluded and private, Wilderness House is just a short stroll to the picturesque and historic village and harbour of Akaroa. Your hosts Jim and Liz will take particular care to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome in their home and like to share a glass of their own wine with their guests in the evening to discuss the events of the day.
